Examples of such sectors are the coal industry, steel industry, shipbuilding industry, mining, energy production, telecommunications, banking and postal sectors. Support is provided to these sectors due to their nature and the problems they face. The rules for providing assistance in this type of assistance are different and more restrictive than in the case of other types of assistance. De minimis aid De minimis aid is a special type of support because it does not have to be reported to the European Commission.
This is due to its relatively low value and therefore does not distort competition or affect trade between EU Member States. The value of the de minimis aid limit is PLN , . EUR gross for companies from the road freight transport sector, and PLN , . EUR for other companies. The limit refers to a period of photo retouching years within which the company cannot exceed the above support values. De minimis aid may be granted, among others: for training, investments, tax exemptions, one-off depreciation, loans, preferential loans or ZUS interest write-off. Currently, the European Commission is working on changes to the regulations governing the rules for granting de minimis aid.
The new draft regulation assumes, first of all, raising the de minimis aid limit to PLN , . euro, for companies from the transport sector up to . thousand euro. We will write more about de minimis aid and the draft new European Commission regulation soon. The forms described above do not exhaust the issue of state aid, but they are the most important from the perspective of an entrepreneur applying for EU funds. Commission Regulation (EU) No. / also specifies aid in agriculture and fisheries and public aid in transport. Forms of public aid – practical implications (summary) As we have shown above, the form of public aid applicable in a given competition has specific practical implications, which is why it is very important information for the entrepreneur.
